Local MP Alan Campbell today visited St Mary’s RC Primary School in Cullercoats to see first hand work the pupils have been doing as part of the ‘Send my Friend to School’ campaign.

The campaign teaches the children about the 61 million children in the world who do not have access to a safe and strong education and as part of the project pupils have written letters and made posters about the importance of every child have the right to a safe school environment.

Alan said “I was impressed by the work the children have done in this important project.  I’ve taken their letters and posters and given them to the Prime Minister to make sure that their voices are heard.”
