Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell has signed a pledge to do his bit to create a ‘Plastic Free Parliament’.

The local MP signed the pledge at an event in parliament organised by Sky Ocean Rescue.  The campaign is looking to reduce the use of single plastics in parliament in in doing so help to inspire people to change their behaviour and #passonplastic.

Alan said “I’m pleased to support this important campaign which follows on from the excellent work of Surfer’s Against Sewage.  People really want to do their bit to shine a spotlight on the issue of ocean health and MP’s are no exception.  I’m proud to be involved.”
