Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell today joined Elected Mayor Norma Redfearn at an event at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Restoration Chapel in North Shields.

The international day event recognises that we are privileged to live in a country that embraces diversity and differences and sought to celebrate this diversity through an annual event called “International Day”.

Alan said “I was honoured to be asked to speak at the event which showcased the different cultural heritage in our community from different nations including England, Angola, Nigeria, Congo DR, Philippines, South Africa, India and Uganda.

The day certainly fostered unity and I’d like to thank Pastor Dina for bringing us all together.”
