Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell has today welcomed the news that more than £13,165,388 of National Lottery money has been invested in Tynemouth’s heritage projects since 1994.

 

From exploring local archaeology and restoring local parks and buildings to protecting wildlife and researching local history, the HFL has awarded more than 105 grants to heritage projects in the area.

 

How HLF is encouraging people in Tynemouth to apply for grants between £3000 and £10,000 to undertake projects exploring the impact and legacy of the First World Ward beyond 1918.

 

Alan Campbell MP said “Tynemouth has an incredibly rich history and I’m delighted to learn that thanks to the National Lottery local people have been helped to explore that heritage.”
