Alan today went along to the PROPS North East families and carers Great Get Together in celebration of the life of Jo Cox.

PROPS North East offer both individual and family support to carers and anyone affected by another persons’ substance or alcohol misuse. The types of support include emotional, practical, social and health, aiming to empower through education and training programmes to encourage confidence to address various issues.

Alan said “I was honoured to be invited along to the event today.  I’ve seen at first hand the work of PROPS in our area and know what an important service it is.  Too often it is the families of those suffering with addiction who bear the brunt and PROPS is there to offer support when it is needed.”
