The Transport Focus consultation on the closure of railway ticket offices has now been extended until 1st September and I am urging local people to have their say.  I am concerned that the plans to close ticket offices will impact heavily on disabled rail users. Disabled rail users are far more likely to use ticket offices and a number have contacted me to say how worried they are.

Each train company has produced its own proposals – so there are 13 separate consultations running simultaneously rather than one, national consultation. You can find out more on the Transport Focus website at
