Tynemouth MP recently met with Cats Protection Charity who have been campaigning for compulsory microchipping for pet cats for many years. Microchipping is the safest permanent way to identify a cat and making it compulsory would help more cats get reunited with their owners if they are lost or stolen.

Alan said “It was good to get an updates and to hear about the support that Cats Protection offers for owners on a low income with the costs of microchipping.”
