As you will know there are a number of local organisations which are coordinating local help for Ukraine.

I am very supportive of those efforts and would like to place my thanks on record for local people who are doing so much.

The most beneficial route for donating is a financial pledge to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Appeal at https://donation.dec.org.uk/ukraine-humanitarian-appeal where the Government is match funding donations received.

You can also donate to organisations such as:

• UNICEF
• UN Refugee Agency
• The British Red Cross

These organisations will get the right support, to the right people, at the right time.
