As part of Tinnitus Awareness Week, Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell visited North Tyneside Tinnitus Support Group based at the Linskill Centre. The group meets on the first Wednesday of every month 1pm until 3pm and is a chance for participants to share their individual experiences, what works well for them and how they manage their tinnitus through difficult moments.
Alan Campbell MP said “With one in ten people suffering from tinnitus it’s an issue that will affect many local people, whether directly or not. My visit was a real eye opener into how bad tinnitus can be and I’ve promised to urge local healthcare practitioners to do more to ensure people know what help is out there.”
