Alan Campbell MP for Tynemouth Community Commitment Common Sense
Local MP Alan Campbell today joined North Tyneside MP Mary Glindon at a visit to the Cedarwood Centre in North Shields to see at first hand the work of the National Citizen Service.
The NCS are running a summer programme for 15 to 17 years olds which combines activities and challenges with a social action project that seeks to help young people make a difference in their local communities.
Alan Campbell said “It was a pleasure to visit and see the young people in action. Already this summer, 248 teenagers from Tynemouth have taken part in the programme and have certainly made their mark in their communities. Well done to all involved!”
