I was pleased to support the Tynemouth Surfers Against Sewage Big Spring Beach Clean at Longsands on Sunday.
It was a beautiful day and it was great to see so many people supporting the event.
Tynemouth SAS have done brilliant work highlighting the problem of plastics in our seas and along our shores with their Return to Sender and Banish the Bottle campaigns.
