Alan Campbell MP was pleased to be asked again to present the awards at this year’s Code Ward event.

HPE CodeWars is a world-class computer programming competition for secondary school students. The event is designed to challenge and inspire students by taking them outside the classroom and exposing them to an exciting, stimulating, and competitive environment where they can test their abilities and grow their potential in future tech careers.

The competition involves a series of coding challenges ranging from simple tasks, like writing a program to say hello, through to creating a cinema ticket-booking system that includes age verification for film showings.

Alan Campbell MP said “I was very pleased to be asked again this year to present the awards.  There were 30 teams representing over 15 schools from across the North East including Marden High and the standard was extremely high.  Congratulations to all those who took part.”
