Speaking at the beginning of Fairtrade Fortnight local MP Alan Campbell said:

“I know that these are tough times for local families struggling with the cost-of-living crisis, but I remain committed to lobbying for fair, global action on climate change.

Fairtrade Fortnight is great way to shine a light on the individuals who are suffering the effects of climate change now – and is an opportunity to challenge the Government to deliver of its promises at COP 27.  

This year Fairtrade Fortnight is focusing on the future of food, highlighting the urgent threat climate change poses to our food chains.”
