Alan Campbell MP for Tynemouth Community Commitment Common Sense
Tynemouth MP today joined Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves, Police and Crime Commissioner Kim McGuinness on a visit to the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Manufacturing Hub. They were later joined by Dame Norma Redfearn and met with the North East Chamber of Commerce at a roundtable event in the constituency.
Alan said “I was pleased to welcome the Shadow Chancellor to our region. The new manufacturing hub makes everything from scrubs to furniture and PPE, all for the NHS. They’re innovative, creating great jobs and real opportunity
The hub was started during the pandemic when demand for PPE was at the highest. Instead of supporting initiatives like this the Tories spent billions on PPE contracts for their cronies.
It was also good to meet with local business leaders to discuss how we can build a better economy.
