Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell is thanking National Lottery players for their role in raising much-needed funding for local charities and community groups. The heartfelt thank you came as local groups received £190,000 of National Lottery funding over the last three months, supporting their communities as they seek to overcome social and economic challenges caused by the pandemic and build back stronger.

Alan Campbell MP welcomes the grants and wants more local good causes to apply for National Lottery funding, saying it could be a lifeline as local people and communities rebuild and recover from the pandemic.

Alan said “I would also like to congratulate Phoenix Detached Youth Project who are the latest local group to win funding, recently receiving £39,000 to help it continue delivering its youth work service for young people aged 13 to 25 years in Chirton.”
