There is no doubt that this has been a tough year. Despite everything, there are moments that stand out. The commitment and dedication of all our key workers, from shopworkers to police and NHS staff. The other, is the sense of local community that has emerged stronger than ever. Local people working for and on behalf of their local area, together doing the right thing and without thought of thanks. Tonight I thank them. Whatever you are doing this New Year’s Eve, please stay safe and here’s hoping for a better 2021.
