Alan Campbell MP for Tynemouth Community Commitment Common Sense
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and over years I have been a big supporter of the campaign which undoubtedly saves lives.
The coronavirus is the biggest crisis facing breast cancer in decades. It paused treatments and surgeries. It paused screening programmes. It has paused research, community support services and much of the fundraising so vital to the work of Breast Cancer Now.
I am urging people in Tynemouth constituency to remember to check for the signs of breast and know that it’s still safe to report them to your GP. The earlier the diagnosis, the better chances of success.
