Tynemouth MP today attended a Service at St John’s Church, Killingworth Village to mark Workers Memorial Day.    The service was supported by the Backworth Colliery Band and incorporated an act of remembrance and wreath laying in recognition of workers who have been killed, disabled, injured or made unwell by their work.

Alan Campbell said “I was honoured to be invited to what was a moving service of remembrance.”
