Local MP Alan Campbell today spoke in parliament in a debate on a motion on the treatment of SME’s by RBS. Alan Campbell said “I am dealing with a number of constituency cases on this matter and it is clear that over a number of years, several banks have deliberately managed the closure of businesses to protect their own interests and in doing so prioritised the realisation of assets over any other outcome. Many people including my constituents have lost, in some cases everything. I’m calling on the Treasury Select Committee to look at this carefully.”
