Alan Campbell MP has welcomed the news that Whitley Bay Post Office is set to re-open.

The Post Office closed in December 2017 after the postmaster resigned and the premises were withdrawn for Post Office use.

The new premise, located on Whitley Road, is currently empty and will undergo refurbishment and will also include a pharmacy.

The Post Office is currently consulting on the plans and local people can have their say at;
