Supporting Plastic Free Coastlines

Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell today met with local representatives from Surfer’s Against Sewage to discuss their campaign for Plastic Free Coastlines. The local group has been instrumental in getting businesses and visitor attractions in Tynemouth on board with the campaign which will see them reducing their single use plastics and switching to biodegradable alternatives. Alan said “I want to congratulate Surfer’s Against Sewage and in particularly the local team who have worked so hard on this campaign. Reducing plastics across the board is an extremely important issue and rightly high on the agenda. Surfer’s Against Sewage have done fantastic work locally on beach leans and with local schools. I’ve pledged to support them in any way I can.”
