Alan Campbell MP for Tynemouth Community Commitment Common Sense
Responding to the news that Utilitywise, based on Cobalt has gone into administration Alan Campbell MP said:
The company has been in difficulty for some time but nevertheless the scale of job losses is a major blow to the local economy. The priority has to be the workforce who frankly have been let down by the company”
“I have spoken directly with the administrators and workers need to apply for whatever they are entitled to in terms of wages, bonuses and redundancy. It is extremely worrying that their expected February pay packet looks unlikely”
“I would ask local employers to look at what opportunities they have for recruiting staff. Some are already doing so. This is a skilled committed workforce who find themselves in this situation through no fault of their own”.
