Local MP Alan Campbell today attended a lunch with students at Marden High School to discuss their views on a wide range of issues. 

The Headteacher of Marden High School, Mr Stainthorpe meets every Friday for lunch with half a dozen students and regularly invites guests to speak with the students. 

Alan Campbell MP said ‘I was delighted to be invited to meet with the students to discuss their views.  There is regular debate in the media about young people disengaging from society and it was refreshing to meet young people with such a healthy interest in public and current affairs.  I also think it is important that both local and national decision makers engage with young people on issues that affect them.  This was an excellent way of hearing what is important to young people and I will be feeding their concerns back to Westminster’.
