Local MP Alan Campbell says the new investment in Tynemouth schools will be put at risk if the Tories ever got back into government. Alan Campbell said every school in Tynemouth is benefiting from investment in new staff and buildings but that Tory spending plans put that at risk.
Alan Campbell said, “First the Tories are committed to 20% cuts across the board to pay for tax cuts. Then the Tory education voucher will take money out of the state system by subsidising parents who already pay for their children’s education. The Tories have this week shown their disdain for state schools and their voucher plan will undermine all the good work of recent years.”
