Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell has once again taken part in the traditional Good Friday procession and service in North Shields to celebrate the Sunday School Union.

The event was attended by representatives from the main churches in the area and included an open-air service in Bedford Street, North Shields, and a service at St Columba’s church.

In his welcome address Alan Campbell welcomed the large turnout and said his thoughts were particularly with the families of servicemen and women, many from his constituency, who were serving our country in the Gulf.
