The abolition of bingo duty announced in the budget has been welcomed by Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell.

Alan Campbell said the change would be welcomed by visitors and residents alike who enjoy a game of bingo. Instead a new tax will be levied on the profits of bring companies.

Alan Campbell said

"Bingo players will welcome this move. It brings bingo into line with the changes in betting taxes, which have already proved successful."
