Local MP Alan Campbell has welcomed details from the National Housing Federation in the recent publication "Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour" of how Housing Association are addressing the problem. Housing Associations provide about 1.7 million homes in England. They are independent, not-for-profit landlords who provide affordable homes and neighbourhood services. They acknowledge that providing good quality homes and neighbourhoods means responding to issues that local communities face, such as anti-social behaviour. "Tackling Anti-Social behaviour" includes information of working through local crime and disorder reduction partnerships, enforcing tenancy agreement and providing neighbourhood services including neighbourhood wardens. Alan Campbell said "I very much welcome the stand Housing Associations are making against anti-social behaviour. It blights resident’s lives and housing Associations as an important part of our local community, make a valuable contribution towards tackling this problem.
