The People’s Millions – Will your organisation benefit?
This year sees the launch of the fourth year of People’s Millions programme, the exciting partnership between the Big Lottery Fund and ITV in which the public vote for the community project they want to receive funding.
This year organisations will be able to apply for a grant of up to £50,000. They are looking for projects across the UK that help communities to transform their local environments by improving green spaces, buildings and amenities. They are also looking for projects that will help people to use and enjoy their local environments.
Alan Campbell MP said ‘This is an exciting competition which I urge people here in Tynemouth to get involved with. We have some history of success in the competition. In 2005 the Learning Disabilities Federation Play Together Centre won £50,000 and in 2006 the LIFFT (Learning Including Families and Friends Together) project at the Glebe School won £49,395’.
Applications forms are available on their website www.biglotteryfund.org.uk from 18th March 2008. The deadline for completed applications is 15 May 2008.
